Shenandoah River State Park

The park has 5.6 miles of river frontage along the south fork of the Shenandoah River. The rolling, hilly land features steep slopes and is mostly wooded. Great day use area and trails.

George Washington National Forest

The George Washington Forest stretches along the ruggedly beautiful Appalachian Mountains, extending from one end of Virginia to the other and even crossing into parts of West Virginia and Kentucky.

Situated along U.S. Route 340 South, it lies approximately three miles past the entrance to Skyline Drive and Shenandoah National Park.
