Trip 7 – Seekford Landing to Front Royal Outdoors
Distance: 23.5 miles
Duration: 2 days
Trip 7 is the shortest Shenandoah River canoe camping trip we offer. Hopping in at mile marker 16, you’ll get to kick off the trip with an exciting Class II rapid: Compton Rapid. You will paddle through fun riffles and other rapids, and enjoy views of towering cliffs and the Shenandoah River State Park.
Trip 7A – Bixler Bridge Landing to Bentonville Landing
Distance: 28 miles
Duration: 2 days
This river trip explores a different part of the river, so if you’ve already tried Trip 7, Trip 7A would be a great new experience! Starting at mile marker 0, the first good rapid you’ll navigate is Mill Dam Rapid. Next, you’ll paddle past Hawksbill Creek, best the exciting Class II Compton Rapid and see multiple Indian fish dams along the river.
Trip 8 – Bixler Bridge Landing to Front Royal Outdoors
Distance: 40 miles
Duration: 3 days
Trip 8 is the longest Shenandoah River canoe camping trip on our list. , This Shenandoah River trip is stretched over three days and is excellent for people who want to get lost on the river (without actually getting lost, of course!).
You will get to experience every rapid, riffle and view that exists between mile marker 0 and mile marker 40. From the exhilarating 2-foot drop of The Ledge rapid at marker 23 to the exciting Karo Rapid as a finale to your trip. You will enjoy three full days of excitement, fun, and river adventures.
